Pa'lante Yarn Sculpture Activity

Task: Students Will stitch the word Pa’lante & floral patterns into a 100in mesh sheet. Together we will Celebrating Latin culture in the cafeteria.
Focus: Celebrating Latin culture learning the history behind Pa'lante' and how it depicts Puerto Rico's resilience. Pa’lante, meaning “onwards” or “forward,” was the title of a newspaper published by the Young Lords, a Puerto Rican leftist group advocating for social change in the '70s.
